Umoja/Ocho Success & Art Sale on the Horizon

by Justin | May 19th, 2010

The Umoja Orchestra/Hello Ocho show at Rock Bottom was a complete success.  We didn’t get an actual head count, but we guesstimate (yeah, that’s right, guesstimate) that there were close to 100 people there!  Everyone had a fantastic time and Umoja told us that they made more from that show than from any other show they played on their tour, so thanks to everyone who came out!  There will be pictures up soon.

So, next on our agenda is The Second Annual Art Sale!  Only a week and a half to go.  Right now I am sitting up at The Earl Smith Strand Theatre collecting the silent auction pieces from the participating artists.  Here is a preview of a few of the pieces:

by Jessica Stacknik

by Heidi Grantier

That’s right, kids.  ShakesDEER!  You have to come out on the 29th to see the rest of them.  See you then!
