2nd Annual ART SALE
on the Marietta Square!
(05/29/10)
It’s our second time doing the Art Sale. Last year’s was such a success and we were asked by so many people to do it again, that we really had no choice. We are once again raising funds for the Earl Smith Strand Theatre’s education program. Check out our Past Events page to see pictures and a list of artists that participated last year. This year is going to be even more phenomenal than last year.
WHERE: The Earl Smith Strand Theatre 117 North Park Square, Marietta, GA
WHEN: Saturday, May 29th 11:00a to 5:00p
WHAT: Over 20 local artists and musicians, a raffle, and a silent auction. All to celebrate local art and help raise money for The Strand’s Education Program.
There will be photography, painting, jewelry, crafts, characitures, and a lot more, so be prepared to drop a few bucks on some great stuff!
Dancing For Orphans!
(12/11/09)
Dancing For Orphans was an event to raise money and awareness for Vineyard Community Church’s short-term mission trip to Nicaragua on which they are building a library for the Arms of Love Orphanage.
We want to thank Dave Gordon of the DJ duo DOODERS for coming out and doing it big. For those of you unfamiliar with his work, you should check out Octane Coffee every first Friday of the month, where he djs to coffee goers. It is quite an amazing sight to see, and he’s so good at it.
Also, thank you to everyone who came out and danced for the orphans. We raised a total of $125 for the trip. Seeing so many people doing some good for the world was quite the awe-inspiring thing.
Once again thanks to Jenny and everyone at the Studio at Marietta Station for allowing us to host another event there! You guys are great!
Ghouls & Giggles
(10/25/09)

Oh man! What a great night! Joni at the Ghosts of Marietta was so great to work with on this event and The Collective was awesome as always. The night consisted of the group leaving from the headquarters of Ghosts of Marietta for the ghost tour around the Marietta Square and then ending at MacCracken’s Irish Pub (a big thank you to Gary!) where the Collective put on an amazing improv show.
If you haven’t gone on a ghost tour around the Marietta Square, it’s a must! If you haven’t seen The Collective perform yet, your life is not complete!
We will definitely be working with all of these guys again! Thanks to all of them for a fantastic event!
Acoustic Jam Night
(10/09/09)

The Studio at Marietta Station hosted another great event! This is definitely something that we are going to have to do more often! We had Wayne Hoagland, the as of yet unnamed duo comprised of Corey Bradberry and Marium Khalid, James O’Shields, an acoustic set by the guys of Centerfold, and Kevin Kos from Age of Consent. It was a great turnout and lots of great people playing great music.
Here are some PHOTOS!
BEE’S KNEE’S
BURLESQUE/VARIETY SHOW
(08/15/09)

This event was organized by The Collective and the promotional material was designed by us. Original “burlesque rhino” drawing by Jaime White.
The Collective never ceases to amaze us! This time they put on two performances featuring glass eating, fire blowing, burlesque dancing, food fights, stand-up comedy, erotic Christmas stories, Lewis and Clark, magic, fortune telling, and two great performances by Blair Crimmins & the Hookers.
You kind of had to be there to fully appreciate what happened that night.
Or you can check out the photos.

NO SUDDEN MOVEMENTS!
(The Can Smell Fear)
(08/09/09)
We helped the Collective join up with Johnnie MacCracken’s and designed the promotional material to bring everyone a great night of Improv Comedy!
If you weren’t there, here is the gist of what you missed: killer koalas, whale love affairs, bounty hunters, Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Phil, and prom dates.
You can try to figure it out by looking at the photos.
The Collective held this event to raise funds and awareness for their performance of The Othering of Mr. Windebaggin.

PIRATE YARRRD SALE!
(07/24 & 25/09)
We hosted the Yarrrd Sale to raise money for promotional materials for The Collective’s The Othering of Mr. Windebaggin.
We had anything from clothes to DVDs to a queen sized bed. More or less anything that you could need to complete you life.
There were pirate themed baked goods and drinks (like grog) available as well, so make it a point to be there the next time we do it.

Art Sale at Marietta Square
(05/30/09)
There were over 20 local artists and performers. Each artist contributed a piece for our Silent Auction and local businesses around the Marietta Square contributed prizes for our Raffle Drawing and the proceeds of these helped us raise over $1200 for The Earl Smith Strand Theatre’s developing education program.
We will be doing it again soon, but until then you can view this year’s photos.
